Cornell University and the City of Ithaca both provide extensive, reasonably up to date information on travel and lodging in order to assist in planning your travel to Ithaca.
Getting Here:
By Air: Ithaca is served by the Ithaca Tompkins Airport (ITH) which has regular flights from JFK (Delta) and Newark (United).
By Bus: Cornell’s Campus to Campus bus service provides direct service from Midtown Manhattan (Cornell Club @ 6 East 44th St.). Travel time is typically around 4 hours. Ithaca is also served by Coach USA’s Ithaca Platinum Express Bus which departs from Port Authority Bus Terminal. Other bus connections may also be available.
By Car: It is also possible to fly into one of the larger regional airports (Syracuse-SYR or Rochester-ROC) and drive to Ithaca. We are about 1 hour from SYR and 2 hours drive from ROC.
Where to Stay:
There are a number of hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts and AirBnB type rentals where you can stay during your time in Ithaca.
Hotels: The Statler Hotel is conveniently located on the Cornell Campus and is the site of the conference. The Hotel Ithaca is located in downtown Ithaca, near the Commons, and offers a shuttle service to campus. Downtown Ithaca has several other hotels with access to bus routes and/or shuttles that will take you to Cornell, including a Marriott, Canopy, and a Hilton. The Argos Inn is conveniently located downtown and boasts an excellent bar.
Motels: The Best Western University Inn is located on East Hill and has a complimentary shuttle to campus. Other motels can be found in different areas of Ithaca and Tompkins County but be sure to check if they provide shuttle service to Cornell.
Bed and Breakfast: The William Henry Miller Inn is located downtown with easy access to bus routes up to campus. Fountain Place Inn is likewise well located within walking distance of both downtown and Cornell.
